Vernon RCMP investigate two similar weapon assaults

Vernon RCMP are investigating two similar weapon assaults that happened within 24 hours.

Police say two men were bear sprayed and suffered non-life-threatening injuries from an edged weapon in separate incidents.

The assaults happened early Wednesday and Thursday mornings in the 2400 block of 34th Street and the 3400 block of 27th Avenue.

No arrests have been made as police look into whether the incidents are connected.
