More wildfire help coming

More firefighters are arriving in British Columbia to help battle wildfires across the province.

Premier David Eby says crews from Mexico, Australia and New Zealand are joining firefighters from Alberta, Quebec and Yukon as part of the province’s wildfire response.

It’s not known if any of those crews will be assigned to Okanagan fires, but the province says the additional resources will be deployed where they’re needed most.

Here in the Okanagan, firefighters continue battling the Quilpituk Creek wildfire along Westside Road and the Bradley Creek wildfire near Vernon, which has forced evacuations and damaged homes.
