Kelowna tightens water restrictions

The City of Kelowna has moved to Stage 2 water restrictions due to ongoing dry conditions and increased water demand.

The restrictions limit outdoor watering to designated days and times, with the goal of protecting local water supplies.

“Reducing water use now helps preserve our water supply and may help prevent the need for more severe restrictions later in the season,” said Ed Hoppe, the city’s Water Quality and Customer Care Manager.

Under Stage 2, odd-numbered addresses can water Tuesdays and Saturdays, while even-numbered addresses can water Wednesdays and Sundays.
