Vipers Fall 3-1 to Trail

The Vernon Vipers fell 3-1 to the Trail Smoke Eaters last night at Cominco Arena.

It was a scoreless first period with the shots in favour of Vernon 15-9.

But Trail got on the board with a power play goal midway through the second, and followed up with two more before the third period.

Jimmy Lambert broke the shutout bid at 8:55 in the third.

At the end of the game the shots were 40-24 for the Vipers, both teams meet again tongith at Kal Tire Place, 6pm.

There will be a special end of regular season ceremony after the game tonight, where player awards will be handed out.

Playoff tickets go on sale Monday February 27th.
