Arrest in Two Year Old Robbery

Vernon RCMP have made an arrest in an assault and robbery case that took place in August of 2015.

A woman was sleeping in her car in a lot at 30th St. and 29th Ave. when someone smashed her window and tried taking her purse and phone.

She tried to prevent the theft and was dragged out the broken window and assaulted before the suspect fled on a bike with her possessions.

Police have charged 31 year old Shane Gaudry with robbery in the case. He was already in custody on other unrelated matters.

His next court appearance on the charge is March 6th.
