Injury-Causing Crashes
RCMP have released details on an accident on Highway 6 at Pottery Road Tuesday morning.
“At approximately 5:30 AM Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP were called to the intersection of Hwy 6 and Pottery Road. A 2006 Ford E350 van was travelling eastbound on Hwy 6 when it was struck by a 2017 Dodge 3500 pickup attempting to cross the highway southbound on Pottery Road,” says Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
The 32 year old male driver of the pickup, and the 42 year old man driving the van were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to damage.
Kiss FM was informed about another accident on Highway 6 near School Road in Lavington Tuesday afternoon, but police did not have any details on it.
One person was injured in a two vehicle crash on Highway 97A and Grandview Flats Road in Spallumcheen Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a 56 year old female driver in a Chevrolet car stopped at the train crossing as the flashing red indicators were on.
A 32 year old female driver in a Dodge van came up behind the car, failed to stop in time, and side swiped the car on the passenger side.
The van driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
“The highway was closed for a short period of time while both vehicles were towed away,” says Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
