Teens Hit By Car
Two teenaged boys in Armstrong were fortunate to avoid serious injuries after they were hit by a vehicle while walking.
The incident happened around 11:30 last Thursday night while the 15 year olds were crossing the street at Wood Avenue and Highland Park Road.
A black Honda hatchback car made a left turn and struck the boys.
“It continued to drive southbound on Rosedale Avenue,” says RCMP Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
Police say it was a low speed collision, and while both boys were sore, they didn’t have serious injuries.
“From what the boys said, even if he or she hadn’t seen them beforehand — (the driver) would have felt the collision, but regardless, the driver didn’t stop,” adds Noseworthy.
Mounties are asking anyone with information to contact them at 250 546 3028 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222 8477.
