RCMP Concerned About Boy Being Offered Ride
RCMP are seeking more details after a 10 year old boy was approached by a man in a black SUV and offered a ride in Armstrong.
The incident happened as the boy was walking home from school near Wolfenden Terrace at 3 pm last Thursday.
“The boy declined, and the man drove away towards Rosedale Avenue. The SUV is described as a smaller black SUV, and the boy described the man as having dark brown hair and glasses,” says Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
The boy told his parents about the incident and they, in turn, called police.
“It’s definitely something that concerns us. The boy that was involved said he didn’t recognize the man, so it’s not a case of a neighbor seeing him and offering him a ride. So we certainly would like to talk to the man, to try to figure out exactly what his motivations were,” adds Noseworthy.
Noseworthy says ask anyone with information to call RCMP (250 546 3028) or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222 8477.
