Feb 14, 2017 | 5:56 AM

The impaired driving causing death trial of a Vernon woman who is charged in the death of a Kelowna nurse in a crash in our downtown in 2014 was to have begun today (Tuesday).
39 year old Lori Vance was charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving and criminal negligence all causing death and bodily harm.
Erin Smith of Kelowna and Lindsey Hauck of Vernon were nurses on a coffee break when their car was T-boned at 30th Ave & 32nd St.
Smith was killed and Hauck ended up with head injuries and a broken arm.
On January 22nd Vance re-elected to drop from Supreme Court to Provincial where she will be tried by judge alone, no jury beginning February 27th.
