Jan 9, 2018 | 10:18 AM

The Vernon Vipers have added to their offensive depth.

The first place team in the BCHL has traded defenceman Sol Seibel and futures, to the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the Alberta Junior League, for 21 year old forward Derek Brown.

Brown was the Pontiacs leading scorer with 20 goals and 38 points in 30 games.

The 6 foot-1 Edmonton product will attend Arizona State University next season.

Seibel is in his second full season with the Vipers, collecting 1 goal and 12 assists in 78 games played.

The roster spot became available to the Vipers with the season-ending injury to 20 year old forward Tanner Wishnowski.
