Viper Represents Canada At International Event

Dec 6, 2017 | 10:31 AM

A good season is getting even better for a Vernon Viper forward.

Brett Stapley has been chosen to play for Canada West at the upcoming World Junior A Challenge.

He’s one of 15 BCHL players chosen for the tournament Dec 10-16 in Truro Nova Scotia.

Canada West’s first game will be Sunday against the Czech Republic.

The 18 year old Stapley is a University of Denver commit, who has 17 goals and 21 assists for 38 points in 31 games for Vernon this season.

“This selection adds to a fantastic year as the Campbell River product participated in the Anaheim Ducks development camp and was also recognized on NHL Central Scouting,” says Vipers executive vice president Todd Miller.
