Update: Teens Walk Away From Serious Crash In Coldstream

Update 4pm:

Two teenagers walked away from a serious crash on Kalamalka Road in Coldstream this morning.

RCMP say a Nissan Maxima hit a power pole near the District Office around 4:14 am with the impact sheering the vehicle in two.

The 17 year old male driver and a 16 year old male passenger were found near the crash scene, both suffering minor injuries, and were taken to hospital for an assessment.

“On attendance emergency responders located a BC registered Nissan Maxima sedan with the front third of the vehicle ripped off and left sitting in the travel portion of the roadway, beside a sheered-off utility pole nearby. The passenger compartment and remainder of the car was found resting off the roadway in a park on the North side of the road,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.
