New Leadership For DVA

Aug 15, 2017 | 6:13 AM

The organization that works to promote Downtown Vernon has brought in a couple of new people to help shape its mission and objectives.

Susan Lehman is the new Executive Director of the Downtown Vernon Association.

Lehman (pictured) comes from Edmonton with a wealth of experience in economic development, tourism and community programming, communications and marketing, business and personal finance, and as an entrepreneur.

She says she’s looking forward to building upon the DVA’s past successes, strengthen key relationships, and establish the DVA in the community as a reliable and valuable resource for our membership.

The Association has also hired Dudley Coulter as its new marketing and Events Coordinator.

Coulter says he sees the downtown as a destination and community hub and is looking at new opportunities while building on the staple events that have made the downtown “a great place to work and play.”

The DVA has also promoted Dina Mostat from her position as Member Services Coordinator to Director of Member Services.

This new position will see her take on a larger role in various community and social initiatives, as well provide direction and oversight for the DVA member services programs.

She says “There are some really exciting changes taking place, the introduction of new staff will bring fresh ideas and opportunities! Downtown Vernon is an amazing place made up of diverse businesses and exceptional business owners, I look forward to further supporting their success.”
