Regional District of North Okanagan chair Bob Fleming has organized the informal meeting for today at the RDNO office in Coldstream.
“We haven’t really talked about anything related to how we might operate the trail. Will it be a cooperative effort, or will everybody do their own thing? Will there there be some way to ensure the standards are the same?” Fleming told Kiss FM.
Fleming says the mayors of Kelowna, Vernon. Coldstream and Lake Country have been invited along with OKIB chief Byron Louis.
About 5 million dollars has been raised for the Rail Trail — 63% of the goal — with construction on the 48 kilometre path expected next year.
