Lack Of Rain Factored Into Water Restrictions

Greater Vernon Water doesn’t plan to implement tougher water restrictions, despite no significant rain for the last month.

Water quality manager Renee Clark says their reservoirs are still at Stage 1 levels, which allow watering three days a week.

“We’re really trying to stay out of of Stage 2, so we’re monitoring our large water users and asking them to make sure they’re not using more than their allocation,” says Clark.

Clark says water staff is also keeping an eye on residential water use.
