Shred-a-Thon happening to support Crime Stoppers

The agency that helps collect crime information from the public is getting a boost through a local initiative.

A Community Shred-a-Thon will be held at the Wholesale Club’s parking lot in Vernon in support of North Okanagan/Shuswap Crime Stoppers Anonymous.

The Shred-a-Thon will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9 and will allow people to dispose of personal or financial documents by donation.

Money raised through the event will go to support the Crime Stoppers tip line program.
