Vipers/BCHL Schedule Released

The Vernon Vipers will open the new BC Hockey League season Friday Sept. 8 in Salmon Arm, followed by a home game against the Silverbacks the next night, Saturday Sept. 9,  at Kal Tire Place.

New for the Vipers, and other Interior teams this season, will be more games against the Wenatchee Wild.

Vernon will play the Washington state squad six times, 3 home and 3 away, as the Wild have been moved from the Mainland Division to the Interior Division.

The league will complete two weeks of regular-season games before the Bauer BCHL Showcase  takes place, starting Sept. 20 in Chilliwack.

Each team will play 58 games again this season with two of those contests taking place at the Showcase.

The last day of the regular season will be Sunday, February 25 and the Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs will be on the following Friday, March 2.

It will be the 56th season for the BCHL which got its start in 1961.
