RCMP arrest wanted man

RCMP say they have arrested a man wanted for assault causing bodily harm in relation to an incident that occurred in West Kelowna on Dec. 31, 2021.

A media release was issued Jan. 5 asking the public for information related to the whereabouts of Dayton Lloyd McAlpine.

Mounties say officers from Indigenous Policing Services and the Community Safety Unit with assistance from Westbank First Nation Law Enforcement, arrested the suspect on Fox Road in West Kelowna on Feb. 1.

“He was apprehended without incident has been remanded in custody while he awaits a court appearance later this month,” said police spokesperson Cpl. Tammy Lobb.
