Vernon/Coldstream vaccination rates continue slow climb
The COVID-19 vaccination rates for the Vernon/Coldstream area saw very little movement this week.
The B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) data shows that, as of Monday, Jan. 31, the area’s vaccination rate for children aged five to 11 was 45 per cent. That’s up just one point from the previous week.
Okanagan Mission continued to lead the Interior’s vaccination rate, reporting that 60 per cent of children aged five to 11 in the area had received their first dose. Kettle Valley had the lowest rate for that age group in the Interior at 17 per cent.
The Interior as a whole recorded a vaccination rate of 42 per cent for kids, while the provincial figure Monday was reported to be 52 per cent.
