It’s next year country for the Vernon Vipers.

Riley Brandt got the lone Vernon goal in the third period. when the Vees were up 3 – 0.

Penticton got on the board in the first period when Gabe Bast knocked in his 5th goal of the playoffs.

In the second, he helped to set up what would prove to be the winner off the stick of Duncan Campbell.

Late in the second, Taylor Sanheim brought the crowd at the South Okanagan Events Centre to its feet when he made an inside-out move on a Vernon defender before going high to the glove side on Darion Hanson.

Vernon pulled Hanson for an extra attacker when there was still 2:35 to go and despite maintaining possession in the Vees end for much of the final two minutes, they were not able to get any closer.

Penticton now goes on to meet the Chilliwack Chiefs in the Fred Page Cup finals beginning Friday in Chilliwack
