District #22 Budget Soon to be Public
The Vernon school board is getting close to seeking public input on its new budget for this fall.
Chair Kelly Smith says trustees will hold a special meeting on April 12th to discuss the 80 million dollar plan.
“Its to bring the budget forward. It will then be posted on the web site where people can look at it. Then they can come to our public meeting on April 18th.”
The site for the meeting has yet to be determined.
“The budget will always be posted so people can give their input just by sending the Board office and email or making a phone call.”
“I’m very proud of this community. I have found when you ask them for input they give it to you.. It’s been quite wonderful.”
The district has seen enrollment increases the last three years, and another 100 students are projected this fall.
