Spring Break Sees Teachers in Meetings

About 700 teachers from across BC are spending the first weekend of Spring Break in Vancouver as the B.C. Teachers’ Federation is holding its annual general meeting.

This is their first official gathering since a Supreme Court decision last fall restored class size, bargaining rights previously blocked by the government.

It is predicted Union President Glen Hansman will present a report that includes an update on the collective agreement that was recently restored as a result of the court decision.

The implementation of that restored agreement should also be on the agenda.
