Highway 97A has reopened 10 km south of Sicamous after the clean-up of a mudslide.

Highway 97A has reopened 10 km south of Sicamous after the clean-up of a mudslide.

Highway 97A south of Sicamous is still closed in both directions.

A mud slide 10 km. south along Mara Lake caused it’s closure yesterday. A Geo-technical assessment has been completed and the clean up continues.
Drive BC says the highway isn’t likely to re-open until 2 pm this afternoon….people are being detoured through Salmon Arm.
Meanwhile, the Trans Canada through Glacier National Park is being shut down for 2-3 hours at a time today until 5 pm. through Glacier National Park for avalanche control.
