Serious Injuries For Hit Pedestrian

RCMP are investigating a hit and run incident in Grindrod.

Officers were called to Old Sicamous Rd and Grandview Bench Road Monday night at 6:30 pm where a 56 year old man was being treated by paramedics for injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

RCMP spoke with numerous people but were unable to locate anyone who had witnessed the actual collision.

The pedestrian is believed to have been walking home from Armstrong.

“Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP are asking to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that may further the investigation,” says Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy. “In particular, RCMP would like to speak with the driver of red small crew cab pickup truck that was seen in the area.”
