NHL’ers take to the field for charity

Jun 27, 2019 | 1:05 PM

A number of NHL players will be on hand for the second annual HOMEBASE All-Star Match at Elks Stadium in Kelowna Friday evening.

Carey Price, Josh Gorges, Shea Weber, Brendan Gallagher, Luke and Brayden Schenn are among the players that will take part in the charity contest.

Mayor Colin Basran is also expected to take a few swings at the plate.

Proceeds from the game will go to JoeAnna’s House, a home away from home for the families of patients who have to travel to Kelowna General Hospital for advanced medical care.
