Avalanche Control on Hwy 1

A quick visit to Drive BC confirms Highway 1 will be closed in both directions 8 to 26 kilometres west of Revelstoke due to avalanche control work from now until about noon.

Drive BC states the exact closure time might be delayed due to incoming westbound traffic volume from ongoing Parks Canada avalanche control.

No detour is available.
