Province working on BC Cannabis Store opening in Vernon

A B.C. government-run cannabis store planned for Vernon will be bright, clean, and professional, says a spokesperson for the BC Liquor Distribution Branch.

However, Kate Bilney says there is no firm date as to when the store will be opening.

She says the government is hammering out a lease agreement for property on the 2400 block of 58th Avenue and, after that, some construction work will have to be done.

The shop already has city council approval.
