The City of Vernon says motorists should be prepared for minor delays for a road project starting next week.
Base repairs on 27th Street between 32nd Avenue and Highway 6 will begin Tuesday, and will take about five weeks.
“The base repairs before repaving are necessary to increase the life span of the road,” says a City news release.
Repaving will be done at the end of September to avoid the busy tourist season.
