Paramedics had to attend to a medical emergency during a show at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre over the weekend.
BC Emergency Health Services says a woman collapsed in the theatre while at Mamma Mia, with the call coming in at 2:45 p.m. Saturday.
“Paramedics were on scene in two minutes and treated one patient who was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition,” says Shannon Miller, Communications Officer.
Patrons say the show did go on despite the medical incident, which was said to be in the upper level of the theatre.
