RCMP Set Policing Priorities

Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP Superintendent Shawna Baher will be presenting the latest policing report to City council today.

Baher says criminal code cases in the first quarter were up 1.7% in the North Okanagan, while property crimes decreased 2.2%.

The Superintendent will also talk about their policing priorities for the next three years, which will focus on Enhanced Public Safety, Community Connections and Road Safety.

“The VNOD Senior Management Team will release the plan to our stakeholders in the coming weeks,” says Baher in her report to council.
