Closure of 15th St. extended to the end of September

The closure of a road off Highway 6 is being extended due to a major construction project taking place.

The City of Vernon said the developer-led project at 1601 15th Street, across from the School District office and Vernon Health Unit, was being extended for off-site work.

As a result, the closure of the northbound lane of 15th Street between Highway 6 and Pottery Road will remain in place until Sept. 30.

Detours will remain in place to direct northbound traffic onto Hwy 6, while the southbound lane will remain open.
