RCMP Musical Ride cancelled due to wildfires

A special event and fundraiser in the North Okanagan will not be going ahead as planned.
The RCMP Musical Ride was supposed to take place at the Armstrong Spallumcheen Fairgrounds over the weekend of August 15 and 16, but it was cancelled due to the wildfire situation in the Okanagan.
“We know this will be disappointing news for the many people who were looking forward to experiencing the Musical Ride in Armstrong,” Superintendent Blake MacLeod, Officer in Charge of the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, said.
“However, given the current wildfire situation, the safety of our communities and those involved in the event must come first. We are grateful to everyone who worked so hard to bring this special event to Armstrong, and our thoughts remain with all those affected by the wildfires.”
