West Kelowna voters who want to avoid election-day lineups can now apply for a mail-in ballot for the 2026 general local election.

Eligible voters can apply online or in person at City Hall, located at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway.

Mail-in ballot packages will be provided as soon as possible after ballots are printed. Voters can pick up their package at City Hall, authorize someone to pick it up, have it delivered by regular Canada Post or arrange and pay for courier service.

Completed ballots can be returned to City Hall during regular office hours through Oct. 16. They can also be placed in the secure drop box outside City Hall until 8 p.m. Oct. 17. Ballots mailed to City Hall must be sent by Oct. 16, while hand-delivered ballots must arrive by 8 p.m. Oct. 17. West Kelowna’s general voting day is Oct. 17, with advance voting scheduled for Oct. 7, 13 and 15. Candidates running for city council or School District 23 trustee have until 4 p.m. Sept. 11 to submit their nomination papers.
