Arrest made in connection with farmhouse fire

One person has been arrested in connection with the fire that sent smoke billowing over Swan Lake Monday.

The fire erupted over the noon hour Labour Day and quickly engulfed and destroyed a farmhouse, outbuildings, a vehicle and equipment on a Goose Lake Road property.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP attended the scene where they located and arrested a person in connection with the fire.

The 23-year-old Vernon man remained in custody pending a bail hearing and an ongoing investigation.
