Smoke billowed over Vernon and Swan Lake after a fire broke out during the lunch hour.

The flames erupted at a farm house on Goose Lake Road around 12 p.m. Monday, September 7.

First responders were quick to arrive on the scene and firefighters began tackling the blaze.

Neighbours told Vernon Matters they were unaware of what caused the fire or if there were any injuries, and BX/Swan Lake Fire Rescue could not be reached for immediate comment.
