BCHL releases 2026-27 schedule, opening night features Interior matchups

The B.C. Hockey League has released its 2026-27 regular season schedule, with the new campaign getting underway Sept. 18 and several Interior B.C. teams set to open the season.

The Vernon Vipers will begin their season on the road against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at Rogers Rink. The matchup will mark the first of 54 regular-season games for both teams.

The West Kelowna Warriors will also open their schedule on Sept. 18, hosting the Cranbrook Bucks at Royal LePage Place.

The 2026-27 season begins with 18 of the league’s 20 teams in action on opening night. Each BCHL team will play a 54-game regular season, with the schedule concluding March 21.

The league said divisional alignment and the playoff format will remain unchanged from last season. The Coastal West division will face the Interior East division, creating new regular-season matchups between teams that have not previously met in league play.

The Rogers BCHL Playoffs will begin March 26, a week earlier than in recent seasons.

The BCHL said details for the 2026 Showcase will be announced at a later date.
