A breakout season in Kelowna has earned forward Tij Iginla national recognition among the top junior hockey players in Canada.

The Kelowna Rockets forward was named a Canadian Hockey League second-team all-star Wednesday, putting him among the elite performers across the WHL, OHL and QMJHL for the 2025-26 season.

Iginla, a Utah Mammoth prospect from Lake Country, led the CHL in points per game at 1.88 after putting up 90 points, including 41 goals and 49 assists, in 48 games.

His production placed him alongside other second-team selections, including Markus Ruck of the Medicine Hat Tigers, Nikita Klepov of the Saginaw Spirit, Tommy Bleyl of the Moncton Wildcats, Chase Reid of the Soo Greyhounds and Rudy Guimond, also of Moncton.
