Vipers advance to next round of BCHL playoffs

The Vernon Vipers have officially snuffed-out the Trail Smoke Eaters.

The Vipers defeated the Smokies 6-2 Friday night at Kal Tire Place to win their first round BC Hockey League series four games to one.

Owen Kim and Hank Cleaves each had two goals for the Vipers in game 5 while first star Isaac Tremblay added a career-high four assists before 2,546 fans.

Ethan David made 38 saves as the fourth-seeded Vipers advanced to the Interior Conference semi final against an as yet unknown opponent.
