A special weather statement remains in effect for the Okanagan, warning of windy and unsettled weather across the BC Interior today.
A cold front is expected to move into our area this afternoon.
“Southwest winds to 60 km/h will affect the southern interior this afternoon ahead of the front while northwest winds to 60 km/h will affect the central interior and Columbias in the wake of the front,” says Environment Canada.
Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop across the central interior, Columbias, and Thompson/Shuswap region this afternoon and evening.
Brief showers with wind gusts up to 80 km/h are possible near the thunderstorms.
