Gymnastics Club Zoning Amendment

Aug 17, 2017 | 9:19 AM

Directors with the Regional District of North Okanagan have given 2nd reading to a bylaw legalizing the Okanagan Rhythmic Gymastics facility on East Vernon Road,

RDNO was waiting for the Agricultural Land Commission to approve Camille Martens’ application for non-farm use.

Board Chair Bob Fleming says a public hearing will be held.

“There was some questions about, well what do they have to do. They gotta post a sign. There’s some time frames involved, but if the sign goes up
and everything, I think they’re in a position to go to public hearing in September.”

Fleming says everybody has been working to get all of the issues dealt with quickly.

“The other conditions are still there, like, they’ve go a building permit they have to satisfy and so on, but if the zoning text amendment is passed they would be legal from a zoning point of view.”

Fleming says doesn’t foresee any problems in finalizing the issue.
