Update: Power Outage

BC Hydro says there are still 373 customers without power from this morning’s outage that occurred about 9:28 am due to a bird contacting a Hydro wire.

The affected areas are South of MOUNTVIEW RD, West of TERRACE DR, North of MIDDLETON DR, East of KALAMALKA LAKE RD.

BC Hydro estimates power should be restored by 3 pm.

Power outages have been reported in Coldstream and from the BC Hydro website these are the affected areas
West of BUCHANAN RD, North of COSENS BAY RD, East of COLLEGE DR, South of POTTERY RD
West of CREIGHTON VLY RD, South of BEAR VALLEY RD
6400 block L AND A RDCrews have, or will shortly be assigned to these areas to restore power.It has been determined birds contacted some of the wires, also a tree fell on another.

Just under 2000 customers are affected by this outage,

There is no estimated time of service renewal at the time of this post.
