BX Swan Lake Fire Dept. Snuff Out Structure Fire Minimize Damage

Last night about 1am,  BX Swan Lake Fire Dept. responded to a minor structure fire on Spartan Road on the outside of the back of the building.

When crews arrived they easily extinguished the small fire, believed to be started by a frayed extension cord.

After reminding residents to check all other extension cords, Assistant Chief Steve Hidasi said the occupants could remain in the house as the damage was very isolated and was not a safety or health concern to the residents.
