Public Invited to City Birthday Bash

The City of Vernon is celebrating its milestone 125th birthday today.

The public is invited to a free barbecue outside City Hall in Spirit Square from 5 to 8 pm

People can enjoy a free burger, a drink, and a piece of birthday cake.

City council members will be cooking the food.

It runs in conjunction with the Thursday night Civic Sounds event featuring the Shawn Lightfoot Band from 7 to 9 pm.
