Two Council Meetings Cancelled

Spallumcheen council has cancelled its next two regular council meetings due to quorum issues.

Mayor Janice Brown is on holiday and potentially three other councillors won’t be able to make tonight’s meeting, and the one on April 3rd.

Township administration tells Kiss FM, a special meeting could be held April 10th — but if not, the next regular meeting will be on the 18th.

Interim Corporate Officer Cindy Graves says they had a special meeting last Monday to get caught up on land use applications.

The township’s new CAO, Doug Allin, starts his duties March 27th.
