New McDonald’s In Works

Changes are coming to Armstrong’s McDonald’s restaurant.

The franchise has been in the community for over 20 years, but it will soon be closing, according to Mayor Chris Pieper.

“Their zoning was grandfathered so now they want to actually build a brand new McDonald’s restaurant so we have to get the zoning before we get a building permit. They are going to tear down the existing McDonald’s and build a brand new one,” Pieper tells Kiss FM.

Pieper says there will be some significant changes to the new building.

“The new one will take the place where the old patio was and bring it brought into the interior of the restaurant. They also will have a double entry proposed for the drive-thru instead of a single.”

Pieper says the project is expected to start and be completed this year.
