New Snow Turns Highways Hazardous

Heavy snowfall continues this morning in the high mountain passes in the southern Interior.

Road conditions are hazardous with some 10 cm. of snow having already fallen and up to 25 expected by tonight.

Rapid snow accumulations have resulted in compact snow and slippery driving conditions on the Coquihalla as well as Allison, Kootenay and Rogers Passes.

If you don’t have to drive the high altitude roads today, don’t. If you do, proceed with caution and slow down because you will find decreased visibility
