Pedestrian Struck on Bella Vista Road

A man was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital in serious condition with suspected spinal injuries after he was struck while walking along Bella Vista Road and Heritage Drive last night.

Vernon Fire Rescue arrived on scene at 6:55 p.m. to find the man lying in the ditch of the westbound lane.

The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to hospital. RCMP are now investigating. The female driver of the vehicle that struck him, remained on scene and cooperated with police.
