A crew-cab pickup truck went off Highway 6 near Waddington Drive around 1:30 am March 6, 2016, killing passengers Carlee De Boer of Grindrod and Paige Whitelaw of Ladysmith, both 20.
RCMP Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy says they are still waiting for lab results on the driver.
“I’m not entirely sure in that case exactly what was sent off to the lab, but unfortunately our labs are pretty backed up,” says Noseworthy.
Noseworthy says the labs prioritize the cases they are working on.
“We’re in the queue. We’re just waiting for our results.”
