Casino Donates To Clubhouse

Feb 14, 2017 | 3:00 PM

Lake City Casinos has donated $12,000 to the North Okanagan Neurological Association’s (NONA) Build The Clubhouse Project.

That exceeded the company’s original commitment of $10,000 with the money raised through various fundraisers by the casino and Match Public House and Eatery.

“The dedication of NONA to children and youth with special needs, their families in Vernon and throughout the North Okanagan is amazing. The new facility will allow them to offer greater  assistance and make a substantial difference in the lives of their clients,” says Ryan Doherty, General Manager of Lake City Casinos in Vernon.

“On behalf of NONA I would like to say how appreciative we are for the wonderful support from Lake City Casino for the Build The Clubhouse Campaign. Lake City Casino has helped to create a legacy where children and youth learn skills to last a lifetime. Thank you for making a difference!” – Linda Graves, NONA Board President

The Build the Clubhouse Project was formed to help build a new $1.6 million facility to provide comprehensive services for about 700 children and youth with a variety of special needs.

The campaign started on February 29, 2016 with a goal of having the new building open in early 2017.
