Police Seek Tips On Break-In

Local RCMP are looking for public help to solve a break in at a home on Rawlings Lake Road in Lumby on Dec. 1st.

“As the homeowner was arriving, the suspects were seen leaving the house in a blue four door car with a roof rack,” says Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy. “The driver was a younger clean shaven male with short dark hair, wearing sunglasses and a dark coloured sweatshirt or hoody. There was also a passenger in the vehicle.”

Several rifles were stolen, along with household effects and personal items. One of the rifles of had a pink camouflage colored stock.

As for why police are releasing details on an incident that occurred more than two months ago, Noseworthy said this in an email to Kiss FM:

“Lumby RCMP has been actively investigating this incident but are now requesting assistance from the public for leads.”

Police are asking anyone with information to call Lumby RCMP at 250-547-2151, or Crime Stoppers at 1(800) 222-8477.
